Just a little personality test. website that i got from kris's blog - - http://alabe.com/freechart/
Anws, RED stands for "urm..quite true." GREEN stands for "nah..i don't think so."
Name: Char Lay Cheng, Melissa
April 25 1988
11:30 PM
Time Zone is AWST Singapore, SING
Rising Sign is in 08 Degrees Capricorn:
You are practical and reserved but very ambitious. An achiever and a hard worker, you respect success. Older looking (ooi! I’m always looking so young kays!) and very serious as a youth, things lighten up and you relax more as you mature. You have a serious view of the world as being a difficult place to be in. Very envious of those who seem to have an easier life than you have, relaxation and play do not come easily. It is important that you had abundant parental support as a child so that you do not feel lonely and isolated as an adult. Generally, you have a good, earthy sense of humor (er, not for me to comment. Even though I’m quite lame at times) that can carry you through when times really do get tough. You are purposeful, self-willed, industrious, realistic and responsible (what do you think? Haha).
Sun is in 05 Degrees Taurus:
You are known for being patient (quite impatient at times eh), slow moving and careful -- you love to prolong and savor enjoyable times (very true!) . You appreciate and need comfort, ease and warm surroundings. Be careful of a tendency to become placid and self-satisfied and to overeat (especially sweets). You require strenuous situations in order to grow and mature properly, even though you try to avoid them. Affectionate, even-tempered and slow to anger -- when you do become emotionally upset, you are also slow to forgive and time must pass before your calm returns. You demand real results from any situation -- abstractions are very difficult for you to comprehend. Very artistic, your hands love to mold and shape things. You portray an earthy, physical sexiness that others find quite seductive (urm. not so true la).
Moon is in 24 Degrees Leo:
You always want to be proud of yourself and will never do anything that will make yourself look bad. You need the respect and admiration of others and enjoy attracting attention to yourself. Everything you do tends to be self-emphasized and self-exaggerated. Very stubborn, willful and independent yourself, be sure to allow others who are close to you the similar right to "be themselves." Your need for love, affection and reassurance, and your tendency toward vanity, allow you to have your head easily turned by flattery. The more insecure you are, the more you tend to be a showoff. You love games and sports as a matter of fact, you would usually rather play than work. Be careful of a tendency to be snobbish and uppity -- it does not become you.
Mercury is in 11 Degrees Taurus:
A slow and careful thinker, you like to present ideas visually and concretely. Abstractions are quite difficult for you to understand (okay la. i admit i'm slow!). For you, everything must be practical and useful in order to merit your attention. You are a perfectionist (in certain aspects i guess) -- you enjoy being skillful enough to handle the dexterity required of fine craftsmanship. Cautious and conservative in your thinking, you are very slow to change your opinions. You are more apt to respond to an appeal to your feelings than to an appeal to logic or reason.
Venus is in 19 Degrees Gemini:
You are friendly, warm, open and tolerant toward others. You love variety in relationships, indeed you may even prefer to maintain more than one relationship at a time (wth! NO! ask my close friends. i don't okay. die hard faithful la)! Very witty and humorous, you have the ability to amuse and please others. This makes you quite popular. You love to play the field and thus find it difficult to settle down and make any deep emotional commitments. (don't tell me 3 yrs is short.) Your innate charm and vivacity makes you welcome most everywhere you go.
Mars is in 12 Degrees Aquarius:
Your ideas and opinions are usually inventive and original, but sometimes they are merely eccentric and offbeat. You are altruistic -- you will work hard for the attainment of group goals, as long as they meet your high standards. You tend to resent traditional authority figures because you think that your ideas are better thought out and more valuable than theirs. Very idealistic, you are a rebel WITH a cause!
Jupiter is in 10 Degrees Taurus:
Growth only occurs for you after you have found a stable lifestyle and a dependable, protective and secure environment. You are at your best when those around you provide you with a great deal of affection and support. When you feel insecure or threatened, you tend to become possessive and grasping and self- indulgent. You are an inveterate collector with an expensive preference for all the good things that life has to offer.
Saturn is in 02 Degrees Capricorn:
Very serious-minded and mature, you have the ability to take on responsibilities and to carry out important duties. You can also be trusted to be extremely practical and thrifty. A good organizer, you are the ideal one to be counted on to take a clearly defined project through to its logical conclusion. An achiever, you pride yourself on your ability to focus your attention totally on some worthy goal and then attain it.
Uranus is in 00 Degrees Capricorn:
You, and your peer group as well, seek out practical solutions to a changing society's attitudes to customs, traditions and authority structures. Your logical and orderly manner of dealing with these matters will result in permanent and carefully planned, but sweeping, reforms.
Neptune is in 10 Degrees Capricorn:
You, and your entire generation, will idealize work, practicality and the ability to attain reasonable goals. But, because you will also stress the need to be selfless and giving, you may find it difficult to attain your goals unless you have lowered your expectations on all fronts.
Pluto is in 11 Degrees Scorpio:
For your entire generation, this is a period of intense research and discovery in areas that were heretofore considered mysterious, remote or taboo. The root causes for many complex occurrences will be unearthed due to the intensity and thoroughness of the search.
N. Node is in 22 Degrees Pisces:
You're attracted to others who need your assistance. You seem to go out of your way to form relationships with those who are weak, sick, injured, addicted or troubled in some way or other. At your best you can indeed provide the relief that others need. But at times you can be victimized by those who would prey on your good nature and take advantage of you. This can lead to all sorts of negative situations -- make sure that those you assist are truly worthy of your time, energy and commitment. A little enlightened self-protectiveness on your part can make your life work much, much smoother!

hur hur. it's only mid week. but owels. at least it's just 2 more days to the weekend ((: can't wait! work is just so boring. esp when msn is blocked etc etc. and when there is no mails for quotations or orders, it's just staring into blank space or that square box that stares back at you when you try to find something to do by fiddling with the mouse. what's more. the worst thing is having people around you who are too nice, always treating you to goodies. today cakes, tmr fruits, and then goreng pisang...the list goes on. i mean it's really nice of those colleagues of mine to offer me those goodies. hah. i love goodies ((:
i think they do have a tradition of celebrating birthdays monthly..the thing is the cakes they buy are always so irresistably drooling yummilicious! and they do look after temp staff...esp my supervisor and uncle lee. uncle lee's so funny! jieyi will know what i mean. always buying things for me and bringing me out for lunch. the other day was goreng pisang which i don't eat at all and today longans. i need to exercise!!! really. can't wait to start dance classes next month and netball in april. and jieyi, i think we should start a weekly exercising programme!! serious! the amt of food they feed us is enough to make us FAT! i hate this word! hur hur.
more exercise to lose unwanted fats, get rid of flabs and maybe become slimmer i guess? urm. not a bad idea. new goal. shall lose these fats by the time i go taiwan. ooh ooh. to keep everyone updated, taiwan trip which 09 gang aka tze cha gang is finally set on the 14th of april after much changes and disagreements. tickets booked. can't wait. lynn, we shall go sha sha sha and try to pick up bargaining skills from jas they all. melissa lou shunjia, you better turn up for the taiwan trip hor. you are my partner eh!! next up should be bangkok trip and hopefully, year end, japan. my dear dear sister...i pray hard that you'll get a big fat thick bonus year end and then we can go to japan. even tho' i'd wanna go korea instead but owels, as long as you pay, anywhereis fine ((:
brief update for the weekend:
* dinner with tze cha gang at bugis last friday. attendance was not good. special guests did not turn up at all, much to our dismay. food was so-so. small portion, price was not worth it for that kind of portion. dessert was not good too. my papaya dessert was so tasteless. not sweet at all. should have gone opp to "more than just desserts". i still prefer our dinner at holland v. the tze cha there is good and cheap. worth the price! should go there more often.
*saturday nothing much. met up with beloved lou to shop ard town. was hopping i'd bump into kar wai but haha. nope. wanted to see him botak after entering police. that mean poot asked me not to go town because he don't want me to see him botak. ahah. he probably hid somewhere secretive la. oh wells. not that it matters. lynn ah, i know you wanna see UEC botak look right. i help you ask my spy want anot?
*highlight of the entire weekend - sun.
lunch at thai noodle house with TOOTS (our newest name). one of the biggest turnout, 16 ppl in all. mr wai wan't there but we had the chong couple with us. after missing so many of our outings huh! dont' you feel guilty, mr & mrs chong? tsk tsk. *shake head* as usual, we had a lot of food. just kept ordering..celebrated grace's bday too. muah, my dear girl! then it was shopping with grace and dida followed by more shopping with jieyi. fots from thai noodle hse lunch will be up soon.
To: Chua Jieyi, my dear laopo
I'm so glad you found your new love. wah. J & J. good match. ahah. adapting well to work hor? with your new lunch partner and colleague. i know you are so amused by uncle lee, cos i am too! that dead garfield by the roadside. lol. and our little joke abt LL. lols. lucky i have you to slack with..and share some fats with too. hah! we shall plan out bangkok trip soon kays? ooh, how is it smelling the aroma coming from the toilet everyday? teehee.
yah. and so that's all about my previous weekend. this weekend shall be a better one. i hope! i shall sleep early tonight too. have been practising that for the week but somehow, i'm still tired during work. maybe just plain staring at the computer makes you tired huh. MAYBE.

Recommedation!!!
Korean restaurant: Tanjong Pagar - Han Kook Gwan
GOOD!! went with 2Ps last night. so much for the cheap food huh, girls. urm, prices are alright actually, a little prciey tho'. but worth it! really. we ate till we feel so overstuffed and bloated. it's actually a charcoal BBQ restaurant but not only do they use the charcoal bbq for the usual meat, they used it keeping the soups and other dishes hot too. very cool. so you'll get to drink piping hot kimchi soup ((:
ordered this soup thingy that comes in sausages, korean ham, ricecake, noodles, blah.. really GOOD! lady boss said it's for 3 person share, but i think it's more like 5 person share. maybe we couldnt finish it because we ordered rice too..$2 a bowl la! korean rice, that's why so much higher than tze cha stalls. ahah. their bbq looks drooling yummlicious too. peeps out there, you guys should go try!!
haha. that's probably like the best meal of the week la! urmmmm..yummilicious. i love korean food! anws, it's nearing the weekend. finally! looking forward to dinner with 09 clique tmr and fishing cum prawning with my beloved "never-grow-old" youths. teehees. can't wait for the weekend to come!!!
1.5 days more to saturday. *counting down mode* nvms, starting next mon, jieyi will be joining me in Unitor. finally got a lunch companion ((: hurry come my girl!

SIXTH SENSE
A father put his three year old daughter to bed, told her a story and listened to her prayers which she ended by saying "God bless Mommy, God bless daddy, God bless grandma and good-bye grandpa."
The father asked, "Why did you say good-bye grandpa?" The little girl said, "I don't know daddy, it just seemed like the thing to do." The next day grandpa died.
The father thought it was a strange coincidence.
A few months later the father put the girl to bed and listened to her prayers, which went like this: "God bless Mommy, God Bless daddy and good-bye grandma." The next day the grandmother died.
Oh my god, thought the father, this kid is in contact with the other side.
Several weeks later when the girl was going to bed the dad heard her say, "God bless Mommy and good-bye daddy." He practically went into shock. He couldn't sleep all night and got up at the crack of dawn to go to his office. He was nervous as a cat all day, had lunch sent in and watched the clock. He figured if he could get by until midnight he would be okay. He felt safe in the office, so instead of going home at the end of the day he stayed there, drinking coffee, looking at his watch and jumping at every sound. Finally midnight arrived, he breathed a sigh of relief and went home.
When he got home his wife said "I've never seen you work so late, what's the matter?" He said "I don't want to talk about it, I've just spent the worst day of my life." She said "You think you had a bad day, you'll never believe what happened to me. This morning our neighbour James dropped dead on our porch."

urgh. monday blues! again.
now i am, freezing in office, having lunch. haha. the weather has been rather cold lately. raining continuous for days. plus the air-con in office seemed as if it's FOC la. freezing cold!just wearing long sleeves isn't enough man. regret not bring my jacket along today. it's so COLD!! actually come to think of it, i realized that the washroom is probably the warmest place in the whole company. serious. that's why i find myself going to toilet more often nowadays. Thank goodness it's not those kind of stinky toilets you find outside. if not, i'll faint man. hah. lols.

Anws, last weekend was rather uninteresting. met up with youth(seriously, we should think of a grp name), had dinner at Raku, some Ninja restaurant at city link. food was not bad. but i'd prefer eating cheaper and more filling food though. like tze cha at holland! haha. but ohwels, company was great. marc was demostrating how sniffing in those ankle spray will make you go high and luagh uncontrollably. it's kinda scary though, esp when he sniffed in too much. not good not good. later damage your brain how?!? i think it's no harm trying once but too much is addictive la!! anws, after dinner, we just yada yada a little and headed home. so tired!! 2Ps stayed over that night too. sat met up with lynn, to bugis, shopped and walked alot. my legs hurt!! ystd, meet up with lou at vivo. bought an A&F sweater..hah. i guess this weekend is just shop, eat, walk. nothing much. hopefully this coming weekend, we'll be going to kallang to kayak! can't wait for the weekend to come..urgh! it's only monday!!

Recommendation of the week:
Thai Chendol at the Thai noodle house, Near coronation.
i tell you, the thai chendol is SEDAP!! Oishii!! very good ((:Basically, the food there is good..pineapple rice, tom yam soup and all. how i miss those days at GLCC when we used to patronise that place often. .

oh yah. i'm going Taiwan in april. really looking forward to that trip!! hot spring, ximending, shopping, shi-lin night mkt..here i come!! and i'm joining dance classes at studio Wu soon too. gotta learn some basic dance moves man. interesting programmes coming up, adding more colours to my life, making it more vibrant!

okay, i'm here to update after pearl complained that i havent been blogging since my last entry. A big big THANK YOU and *HUGS* to those who voiced their concern for me. i'm so glad i have friends like these. always there to lend a shoulder to cry on. hugs peeps! anyways, i'm alright now. still that noisy mel who loves good food :))
i'm currently at work, sitting on my desk, having lunch. starting to blend into the environment here, as in waking up early, being stressed up and kan-chiong over work. ahah. and finally, i know the way to office :)) have been taking the company's bus every day to and fro (save me some fare too since now the ez link machine goes "TI", not "TI-TI" anymore ): ), so i'll not get lost again! ahah. for those who know, pls forget the fact that i lost my way one day, ended crying and not reporting to work. that's such an embarrassing fact! urgh.
work is demanding, esp when the impt orders and quotations inquiries start flooding my company inbox during the crucial hour before i knock off. it's so irritating la! observed for many days already, it has always been this case for the past few days. kuku nathan. just as when i'm counting down to 5.30pm, these "stress-igniter" will POP out! urghs.
but as much as i hate to admit, working helps to alleviate mental stress from sad happenings. serious. even tho' i dread waking up early every morning, but i gotta admit that once i step into office and start getting busy, these sad thoughts just get rejected by my brain. it says "sorry, door closed. pls try again". and i practically have no time to be reminded of sadness during work, which is good. at least life will seem more pleasent instead of being upset and dwelling on stuff. and by the time i get home, i'm just too tired too think abt anything else. all i want was dinner, online videos and my bed. urm. maybe this is what some ppl referred as "escaping from reality" but reality is always cruel. that has been my belief all these while. yupp.
here's to MARC:
"My dahling in name", cheer up yahhs? once you start work, you'll be like me. no time to dwell upon sadness! no worries, you still have me and grace eh. ahah. smiles big tym. GO GO GO, FIGHTING, redhill dragon! teehee.
here's to PEARL:
zhen zhu! eh, it's my entry not your quote that make ppl feel sad reading my last entry hor. ahah. but your quote did force me to make that decision in the end. you never fails to know what i'm thinking and how i feel :)) thanks big tym for always being there for me. i love my cousin!!
here's to ZHI GANG:
xing cai de, i agree to what you tag. but i guess reality just set in as a cruel and ugly fate of man, so we'll often get upset over minor things like guys, girls and whatever. but thanks for your concern eh :)) i still think it's weird for a guy to say "guys arent everything" ahah. anws, come for the tw trip la! we need a man! teehee =D
here's to LYNN:
babe! you finally found a job! yeahies. and it's near my workplace too. finally i can have a lunch partner! we knock off together too. how nice is there. i'm looking forward to the tw trip eh! now that all of us have incomes, we can PARTY! can't wait to receive my first paycheck. that feeling is "WOOHOO". and yes, i agree with you. we need to find a bf! at least just to watch shutter too. haha. our shutter pact remember? teehee. kidding. cannot like that use ppl. be patient yahh, girl :)) love.
okays. lunch hour over. get back to work. another 4.5 hours to knock off time! yeahies =D

"Why hold on to something you cant' have and don't like already just because you've held on for too long"

-Taken from Pearl-

I've done alot of thinking recently. Thinking about issues i should have thought about a long time ago. and this statement has been the "centre of focus" the whole time. living in denial? i'm not sure. i dare not admit, maybe. Everytime when i nearly come to a conclusion and make the decision, some thoughts would interupt it, making me confused. I'm sick of it already! especially now, sick physically and mentally. not feeling good.
And i definitely do not want history to repeat itself, not especially with what i have and the way things are now. i'm not willing to let it be ruined in my own hands just because of my own selfish-ness and persistence.

I've thought about it, whether anot i give up or continue to be persistent, i'd probably lose everything i have now, end up hurt and sad. So why not end it in a faster manner, in the way that will inflict less sadness and hurt? For everyone's benefit, especially you and me... i'm letting go. Finally..
*sarang haeyo*

sha la la la :))
2007! tada tada! now my ez link card goes "di!". no more "di di" already!
anws, had 2 sleepovers for the past 3 days. now, i'm so shacked! very shacked actually. anws, quick update.
30th Dec 2006 - stayover at grace's (apparently to countdown to the new yr's eve). we are really a big group of people. did many random things actually. we just couldn't settle down on something proper to do eh. cycling at ECP, dinner at parkway. ooh. and jac joined us this time round. becoming sweeter each time i see her (: it's just so nice to see people after a long time, especially those you've known for yrs. we just yada the night away with laughters (towards dennis esp), crap and screaming, not to forget those exciting moments when we played snap. those hilarious names for the themes we thought of are unforgettable man. there's one theme: words associated with peeing - "ahhhhh" (sigh of relief), shhh shh, ningnong ningnong... hah. crap!
31st Dec 2006 - stayover's at lou's. prata at prata hse. this time round, lou's brother invited his friends over for countdown too. so there was this 2 different age group of people. the "elderly"- yrs 25 and above, and the "young ones" - yrs 20 and below. ahah. Her brother's side were like drinking whiskey, playing with chips and smoking. our side? drinking green tea, playing snap and maybe a glass or 2 of fruit alcohol (6%). despite all that smoke in the air-conditioned hse, we had fun :)) really.
(1st Jan 2007) today's the twins' birthday. spent the afternoon at wai's with lots of good food from Aunty Tammie. and when i said good food, i really meant GOOD. ahah. but it's such a pity that we didnt stay for dinner. pearl, pam and me had to go back to sis's for the twin's bday dinner. i'm currently super full. over-stuffed in fact. now, it's the time to exercise!! yes, tmr.
i'm super tired now. too lazy to type even. so i'm off. tata!
