Penny for THOUGHTS...
sheesh. another weekend's over.
8am tut tmr which means i'll have to wake up at 6 tmr. back to the good O'days of sem one.
on a random note, why don't i dread waking up so early as much back in pj? maybe it's the journey and the need to fight the morning kiasu crowd. besides, i'm not exactly a morning kind of person. so, oh well. what to do.
i've been reading up on certain people's blogs and there's a couple of them that made me ponder alot recently. i mean i don't understand why people do things they know they shouldn't but yet still do it nevertheless. perhaps it's the rebellious nature in us. especially girls. dying over a guy, making them your center point, living life only for them, trying hard to get their attention but to no avail. seriously, what for. i have lived life doing such things before, (not the dying part of course. i'm not so silly), but i realized it's totally irrational and silly. total waste of life. struck hard, learnt hard.
and i have friends who already have their mind set on marrying a particular person at the age of twenty!! i mean, how can you be so sure that he/she is your destined one? we can't even make proper day to day decisions, let alone choosing a life partner. it's absurd just to think about it. sometimes, things just doesn't go the way we want it to be. many times in fact. and when disaster strikes, we question God' presence. we asked him when did he let such things happen to us, or why did he not help us. and even if everything's smooth sailing, we always forget God. we'll only remember him when we need him. it's such a shame. very shameful of us.
i've always have the strong belief that everything happens for a reason. the person we meet on the street, a friend who fall sick..blah. God has his purpose. the lessons he wants us to learn, the person he wants to highlight to us...etc etc etc.
and as i read the others' blogs, i start to realize, sometimes, it is not the case that God wants mishaps to befall on us but he wants us to learn from our mistakes, to pick up from where we fall. we do things out of moments of folly, out of irrationality, out of harshness, but at the end of the day, we should ask ourselves...why did we did what we did? what if we hurt our loved ones with our wrongdoings? who will have to answer for the consequences?
so i guess it's definitely time for us to reflect about our actions and also to show more concern for the people around us (especially those whom we have neglected)...
no time isn't an excuse. if you truly care, time can be made.
on a lighter note, i read brother's blog just now. lol. the feeling's kind of..urm..weird? i believe blogs is a way of expression of true inner self...so that's probably why i'm feeling weird after reading my brother's blog. that grown up feeling that he gave me through his entries. it's so different from the quiet boy appearance he gives at home. he has even entered the world where guys vie for the hearts of the maiden..teehee. surreal feeling.
okays. enough chatter for the night. it's time for bed ((:

cny shopping with mate ystd but it was a disappointment. somehow when i don't feel like buying anything, i had to. it's always the case right. not having the resources($$$) but yet have the itch to (want to) buy something. but when i have the resources, somehow the itch is gone. hur. more shopping trips with mate this coming week i guess. caught chesty nutty bang bang with 2Ps at night. it was kind of good i guess. except for the fact that there was this super irritating guy beside us who laughed at the slightest thing. okay, minus the fact that i laugh loudly at times too but his was freaking irritating that i couldn't even concentrate on the play. 
anws, got home late last night and was down with a bad cold that i jumped straight into bed once i got out of the shower. today's supposedly a mugging day but procrastination sets in. so i guess, before it's time for bed, i'd better get my butt moving and hit the books.
tutorials are starting on monday and i'm back to the monday 8-6 days. damn. i'm dreading the need to have to wake up at 6 on mondays already!!! but at least, it's no more 5-days week for me ((: the time has come...the battle starts!!!
addiction to dramas is a bad habit. but i can't help it ((:

nothing much happened this week cept for the usual catching up with peeps as lectures start.
had a taste of all my lectures and i must say, nm and mkt are the more interesting ones. geog's really not my cup of tea but i don't really have a choice since they are my ss and gem mods. so i'll just have to bear with it. i'll still try to do well in them nevertheless.
was supposed to start the day by studying my mkt-ing but i kind of overslept and had to meet karlo last min so...but i'll start tmr.
anyway, met up with karlo today. spent some time tgt having desserts and just catching up. the desserts were good stuff i must say! hong kong tang yuan and mango with grapefruit. 2 sua-kus eating traditional hongkong dessert. haha. yes i know, it's an excuse for him since he's not a singaporean. but it's my 2nd time eating tang yuan and it's really good stuff. teehee.
it's really nice to spend some time with someone i dont see often, since he's abroad studying. but still, it's sad to see my friend come and leave so fast. i guess, i'll wait till summer in june before seeing my lobster friend again ((:
steamboat dinner with john, lynn & mr fitness for john's post birthday celebration. it was definitely better than hot, dirty and smelly marina south steamboat. at least this is cleaner. the company was good and as usual, we ate so much and just spent 2 hours in that place. then it was pubbing at his friend's place.
good day spent just spending quality time with my friends. i'm so thankful for each and everyone of them. really. in singapore or not. it's harder to keep in touch with everyone but true friendships worth the effort yahh ((: besides, spending time with friends and family makes me HAPPY. as happy as a kid....

Jan 14th 2008 - the start of a new sem.
yes, lectures start tmr.
it officially marks the start of fulfilling my new year's resolution.
endless readings to be done. tons of projects to be rushed. loads of work to be completed. feeling the stress already.
but nothing's gonna stop me from pursuing my ultimate goal, yahh ((:

finally packed my room today. even though it still looks the same to me, -cept maybe it's a little cleaner now.
but it won't last long with my bad habit of throwing things everywhere.
will head down to Ikea after school starts again, to refurbish the room a little ((:
dinner with 2Ps last night. many rounds of "shoot, shack, marry". hilarious time we had ((: dinner with mate today too ((:
i've been in the mood for strolls nowadays, be it alone or with somebody else.
with an ice-cream/drink in my hands, it's really nice taking walks down the streets at night (of course, i'll have to be in my comfy footwear.)
it would be nicer i have someone to go on such walks with me...

urgh!! stressed.
every sem there are 3 times, nus students panic and go crazy.
#1 bidding/CORS period
#2 exams period
#3 release of results period.
i'm currently in #1. darn. planning my timetable, bidding etc. etc.
irritates me to THE point. with everyone around me going crazy also. hur.
i need to go to bed now and think bout my modules. freak =S

it's another new year (: Happy Birthday to my sweetest sweethearts!! 
how nice it is to start a new year with your birthday right! i wish my year can start like this, so much better than sitting in front my laptop, blowing my nose away. LOL. hur. stayover @ the couz's new hse last night. and yes, i've got a cold again. probably due to the lack of sleep. always get such crap when i dont sleep enough. but i certainly hope that the 2 cold reliefs i just popped down my throat works. anyways, 2007 has been an eventful one. many many happenings. good and bad. even though three quarts of the year was spent holidaying. how time flies huh. and age is catching up even though i'm only turning 20. definitely feel old when i spend time with the teenz the other time. probably because we see them since young so their age kinda remain stagnant even though they have already been turned into fine adults. haha. anyway, many resolutions for this new year. better time management. mug harder. i shall tidy up my room soon because mommy love have been pleading with me to do so for a long time. better do it before the pleadings change to naggings. may 2008 be a better year, a more meaningful and fulfilling one ((:
