the weekend is here again. my mid-sem break just passed like that.. it has be a hella busy week here. with reports due, midterm tests, meetings to attend.. plus i'm not done with my revision for intercultural comm. man. i need a breather.i am seriously praying real hard that the test would be too hard because i've yet to start memorizing my notes! hurhur.speaking of intercultural comm, there's something so interesting and funny that the lecturer showed us during lecture the other day. i've got to show you guys.the link: bush&condiit's hilarious. most importantly it taught us how different verbal communication cues between cultures can result in misunderstandings. i really like my study on verbal communication and of cos, intercultual communication ((: it's sooo interesting!! on a side note, i went for Random Blend just now. an exhibition organized by the CNM department of NUS. needless to say, i'd have to go down to show some support. besides, marcus' and corinne's pieces are up on display. and the exhibition was pretty good i mus'say. we headed down to selegi for beancurd after that. yes, my virgin attempt at beancurd. but i have to say...it's still too soft for my liking. why does everyone else likes it so much? yours truly don't understand...ohh well...enough ramblings. i'm off!

“When you have youth, you have no money.
when you have money, you don’t have time.
when you have the time, you no longer have youth.”
“We spend our lives spending money we haven’t earned,
to buy things we don’t actually need,
to impress people who dont really like.”

psst.I'm in school now,I have a tut at 5 later. Wednesdays are such a waste of time. totally.Am trying to complete my TR project report due on sat.and I've barely started. zzz.plus the weather's so hot and humid today. i need some breeze before i get cranky. It has been a pretty fulfilling first half of the week. I have been trying to complete my readings and just trying to be a mugger bugger since there's so much work piling up.But i guess, too much is bad for health. too much studying i mean. to me.I'm starting to lose my momentum.and I need a breakkk...some motivation could do the trick too.I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend.Baking with BF for valentine's tomorrow. But i have no valentine's )): who should i bake for? myself!haha.i think i need to spend some quiet time alone.just me, myself & I.it'd be nice ((:

hello!
bored. boring. boredom.
in TR class now.
man. my brain's like frozen now.
paying attention to the lecturer yer not absorbing anything in.
or should i say stoning?
i'm just "trying" to pay attention so that my name wouldn't be called.
unproductive. inefficient.
why are there so many smart people in my class.
i don't understand a single thing!
i wanna go homeeee...

Sometimes in life, there are really bonds formed that can never be broken.
Sometimes you really can't find that one person who will stand by you no matter what.
Maybe you'll find it in a spouse, celebrated with your dream wedding.
But there's also the chance that the one person you could count on for a lifetime; that one person who knows you sometimes better than you know yourself; is the same person who's been standing beside you all along.
Your best friend.

exhuasted.
spent almost the entire day in school.
it's a saturday, mind you.
rawrrrrrrrrrr.
i'm glad though. i did a bit of studying today.
a bit of studying with a lot of complaints.
of all days when i'm so far away from any ice-cream palour, i craved for chocolate ice-cream.
and Korean bbq.
i tried to satisfy my cravings with some King's triple choc ice cream that is as hard as rock.
i want my soft serve, very sinful yet super yummilicious deep dark choc ice cream!!!
everything's making me cranky these days.
the weather. the school. the people. tsk.
staring into screen for long is bad for the eyes. it gets me cranky and restless.
i need some no-brainer chick flick to watch now. relieve relievee...
from all that eng lang crap i had yesterday that stressed me to the max.
labial. bilabial. alveolar. velar. dental. palatal.
they get me crazy. i like them not. they know me. i know them not.
eeeks!
i need to relieve relieve relieve.
retail therapy sounds good.
a long walk, with a cup of choc ice cream on my hand sounds good too.
or maybe i should just vegetate in front of the telly, watch some romance flick.
no... there's still a long way to go... my never-ending list of readings to be done.
sometimes, i don't understand why must there be so many readings. can't they can't get me a textbook or compile everything for me? rawrrrrr...
it doesn't help with the fact that i spend my saturday mornings in school. yes. for lessons. feel so cheated. sitting in the lecture theatre for 3 whole hours listening to nothing but endless bragging and unfamiliar terms. man. what have i got myself into this semester. i hope it ends soon.
ok, i need to hasten my pace, do my readings and mug before mid term comes in 2 weeks.
tired mind + stacks of readings + unsatisfied cravings = melancholic me.
meanwhile, all i can do is to seek comfort in what i can...

Back for now..It has been a really busy start of the year for me. CNY, weddings, school.Oh yes, my timetable is finally settled! yes, i know. 3 weeks into the start of the new semester already! in fact, this is the 4th. and i have tons of work piling up with many assignments due the next 2 weeks...enough to make me breathless! hur. but Thank God for the modules this semester. even though, i'm kinda bankrupt in my points account now but i know He'll provide for the next sem yah ((:Here are my modules..NM3204 E-learning...that is electronic learning i supposed. pretty chim for me, i mus'say. but I've been trying to keep up with my readings because...I have to update a blog as a component for assessment. haha! behavioristic learning. I know i'm pretty long winded when it comes to writing/typing.. okay. maybe even talking. so my entries for my recent assignment was kind of lengthy. BUT insightful kay! take a look @ my learning blog!NM2201 Intercultural CommunicationThis is probably the most interesting and understandable module for the entire semester. It took me great pains to persuade the dept to let me take this module alright! and I'm so glad, he gave it to me! It's more about communicating in different cultural context. For example, you can't communicate the same way to the Americans as you did with Chinese. We have already been assigned out project task and country, and my group was allocated Thailand! Sawadee kap! Pretty excited actually, even though i was hoping that we could get Korea. But nevertheless ((:TR3001 New Product DevelopmentAnother task oriented module. pretty demanding i must say. A level 3000 biz module. we are really brave huh! All about innovation, patents blah blah. designing products or services and filing for a patent. in fact, we just designed our cup-holder! my idea is pretty blah! haha. My project mates are really nice people though...and it's non-examinable! yay!ES2002 Biz CommunicationSecond biz module. More on hands on actually...presentation, speaking up etc etc. Just had my mini-lecture presentation today. yes, conducting a lecture for the class. Thank God the class is pretty small.. class of 15! haha. i'm not much of a presenter actually. But I believe I'll learn alot from this module..something I can take to the working world. presentation skills..EL1101EHmm, probably the worst module so far. I am absolutely clueless till now. Already into the 4th week of the semester, the lecturer herself is.. no comments. really. I just hope my tutor's better.Yup. I'm having a 4 day week now, pretty spread out actually except mondays 2-9. 9pm! hur. but thursdays are my free day. I must get a better timetable next sem! but for now, i shall just be content with what i have ((:CNY was kinda quiet this year but nonetheless, I had a blast still. Moving from one house to another, eating from one house to another. we became gluttons! haha. most of the time, my parents will spend the time talking to the other adults.."Reminiscing the good old days". haha. reminiscing what they reminisced every year. LOL! and my job was to be a babysitter. taking care of the kids, playing with them till i pant like crazy. Their "lao ying zhua xiao ji" is no mean feat kay. little monsters! hur. so you can imagine me, my brother, my sister, brother-in-law and the kids sitting there, just eating and eating. oh yes, i remembered, every household i went that day was playing the SAME variety show...which was not nice at all! my collection of red-packets seems to be better this year despite the recession..isn't it weird. looking at the way things are now, recession is more of a word than a situation to singaporeans. sales everywhere, people still spending big bucks. but i think we should still save in preparation for bad times. because, i'm still going ahead with my holiday plans to korea and bangkok! haha. so it's time..to save!some pictures.
The wedding of the month. 31.01.09.
It was on a saturday morning, the weather was good, bright and sunny. the solemization took place at church but it was a military wedding. pretty awesome actually, with the sword-bearers in their number one. it was really heartwarming to see someone i've known for so long, walking down the aisle with his fiancée. but it's also weird at the same time. or should i say surreal. it seems like yesterday when we became friends, still childish, talking about bgr..and now he's walking down the aisle!
i would definitely wanna have a traditional church wedding..at a church with a long aisle, my dad giving me away. i mean a military wedding or a garden wedding or a beach wedding is nice but still...i'm very traditional you know. haha. okay. i'm drifting away again. haha.
still...I congratulate the couple and I wish the a lifetime of bliss, happiness and everlasting ♥ ((:
